MÁV Raises Railway Worker Wages

The MÁV-Volán Group and representatives of its employees agreed on the level of wage development for 2023 on Friday at the meeting of the group-level interest conciliation council, Hungarian State Railways (MÁV) announced, according to hrportal.hu.
Under the agreement, the basic salary of railway workers will increase by at least HUF 53,000.
The lump-sum Szép card benefit will also increase to HUF 120,000, and the employer is expanding the voluntary health fund subsidy to HUF 4,000 per month.
Zoltán Pafféri, the president and CEO of MÁV, pointed out in the announcement that the approximately 51,000 employees of the MÁV-Volán group will receive a wage increase of more than 10%.
