Majority of Middle-Aged People Want to Retire at 57 - Survey
On average, middle-aged people in Hungary would like to retire at age 57 if they could, according to K&H's Secure Future survey.
If they could, 19% would only work until they were 50 or less.
However, only 10% of them think they will be able to retire before the legal retirement age.
This is not a significant change compared to the survey's results in previous years, when the average age at which respondents wanted to stop working was 57 last year, 58 in 2021, and 59 in 2020, while in 2018 and 2019 the average age was 57.
