Magyar Posta reaches wage raise deal

The management and unions of state-owned postal company Magyar Posta reached an agreement on a further wage increase for 2022, The Hungarian postal service said yesterday, according to napi.hu.
The wage increase impacts 16,000 workers, around two-thirds of all postal employees.
Their gross wages will rise by 5.3% on average from the start of March.
Magyar Posta already raised its wages by 9% in January.
The new wage increase will cost Magyar Posta HUF 3 billion, bringing the total spending on wage hikes this year to HUF 13 bln.
