Jobseeker Applications Rise 25%

The number of job seekers' applications posted on profession.hu rose 25% in the third quarter from the same period a year earlier, climbing for the first time in a year and a half, the job listings site said this week.

During the same period, the number of job listings by employers edged up by 1%.

Employer recruitment was most intense in the capital and Pest County.

The number of applications by prospective employees rose the most, by 63%, for positions in the catering and tourism industry.

The number of applications for jobs in agriculture also climbed steeply, by 48%.
