Hungary has the highest proportion of full-time workers among the member states of the European Union, labor market expert Piroska Szalai told Világgazdaság.

Some 80 out of 200 people work in Hungary, 76 of them full-time.

At home, despite the effects of the epidemic and the war, employment reached a peak both in terms of dynamics and number of employees, while unemployment is lower than before the pandemic, she emphasized.

Despite the global difficulties, such as the effects of the coronavirus epidemic, or the outbreak of the Russian-Ukrainian war, the number of employed people in Hungary reached a new peak.

"The data reflect one of the biggest increases of the last thirty years: this is true for both our first and second quarter," Szalai added.
