Some 63% of employees received a wage increase or some kind of extra benefit due to their increased expenses last year, but this year only slightly more than half of them expect the same, according to the latest, nationally representative research by profession.hu.
More than half of the respondents (55%) believe that in 2023 they can expect their increased expenses to be compensated in some way by their employer.
Some 49% of employees expect a salary increase, 7% some kind of regular support, and 9% a lump sum support this year.
Those who work part-time, and those who earn their living in the state administration, are more pessimistic than the average regarding wage increases.
