Avg hourly rate for blue-collar workers climbs 11.5% in Q2

The average gross hourly pay rate for skilled and unskilled blue-collar workers in Hungary climbed 11.5% to HUF 1,553 in the second quarter from the same period a year earlier, news agency MTI reports, citing research by staffing company Trenkwalder.
The hourly pay rate was HUF 1,370 in the southwest of the country, but as high as HUF 1,930 in the central region.
The analysis was based on the wage data of close to 7,000 workers.
The gross hourly statutory minimum wage in Hungary is HUF 1,495 for skilled laborers and HUF 1,150 for unskilled workers, effective January 1.
