Around 12% of Hungarian companies plan to raise headcount in the coming quarter, state news wire MTI reports, citing a representative survey by staffing company ManpowerGroup.
Just 4% of companies plan layoffs, and 83% expect headcount to remain unchanged. Approximately 1% of companies couldn't respond to the question on hiring or redundancies.
The survey suggests hiring will be strongest in the commercial accommodations and catering sector and, in regional comparison, in Central Hungary.
ManpowerGroup queried 607 employers in Hungary for the survey.
