Penny Market offers cash withdrawals on card payments

Retailer Penny Market is offering free cash withdrawals up to HUF 20,000 for customers who pay for their purchases using bank cards, Hungarian online daily mno.hu reported yesterday.

Those customers who purchase goods in a Penny Market store for more than HUF 3,000 and pay with their bank cards, are eligible to withdraw up to HUF 20,000 in cash from their cards for no additional fee, the daily reported.

Penny Market reportedly said that the service is available at each of their stores, adding that they are able to circumvent the withdrawal fee as it is registered in the system as a purchase and not a withdrawal. Such withdrawals can exceed the limit of HUF 150,000 that can be withdrawn from ATMs monthly, for no additional fee, Penny Market added.
