The changes were cleared with a vote of 151 for, none against, and 23 abstentions.
Justice Minister Judit Varga said late in April that the EC had given Hungary the "green light" regarding judicial reforms that were a condition for accessing the country's European Union funding.
She added that the government had initiated the submission of a package of amendments to lawmakers.
