Pápa airport could compete with Sármellék
The town of Pápa in northwest Hungary, where Wizz Air pilots were recently seen making practice flights, could get a civil airport, under proposed legislation that would allow the Defense Ministry's military air bases to handle civil flights as well, vg.hu revealed today.
An airport with a commercial logistics base at Pápa would be competition to nearby Sármellék airport, indirectly owned by well-known Hungarian businessman Gábor Széles, vg.hu noted.
