Pannon Hőerőmű reopens mine in southwestern Hungary

Pannon Hőerőmű reopened a surface coal mine near Pécs in in southwestern Hungary on Thursday, Hungarian news agency MTI reported.

György Palko, the CEO of Pannon Hőerőmű and owner of Dalkia Energia, said an annual 15,000 tons of coal could be mined at the site. The mine was shut down ten years ago.
