Though internet payment service PayU is radically decreasing its market presence from the end of December, users can continue to make online payments with the help of OTP Mobil’s own Simple Online Payment System taking operations over, according to a press release issued today.

PayU announced in August that it will be decreasing its market presence, and that its services will be taken over by OTP Mobil’s platform, the announcement notes, adding that there are approximately 2,500 overlapping users. Webshops and online service providers were able to change to OTP Mobil’s Simple Online Payment System by carrying out minor technical amendments, without any contract modifications, the announcement said.

Simple Online Payment System handles payments made through MasterCard, Visa and American Express cards or bank transfer, the announcement added. The first online commercial service providers were able to test the new service from October, and by the second half of November the tests were successfully concluded, the announcement added.
