No plans to merge troubled meat companies
The operation of meat companies that come under state or local council ownership must be harmonised, but there is no need for any closer cooperation, farm ministry state secretary Gyula Budai said in Tuesday's issue of daily Magyar Hírlap. Budai said three troubled meat businesses in Gyula, Kaposvar and Papa that the state and local councils are seeking to support will continue to operate independently. "All three meat industry companies have their particularities, products, markets and clients that need to be served," he said.
