Napi 100 Richest: Csányi tops again, porn king Gattyán no. 3
In teasing its annual “100 Richest Hungarians” list, this weekend local news portal Napi.hu teased a few details. To the surprise of few, OTP Bank CEO Sándor Csányi heads the list for the third consecutive year, while artificial fertilizer producer Nitrogenmuvek owner László Bige placed second.
Holding on to the no. 3 spot on the list which he first reached in 2013 was György Gattyán, the so-called “Sex Millionaire” heading up Dolcer Holding – the company running webcam site LiveJasmin. Founded in 2001, ten years later LiveJasmin was said to be the most popular adult-content website in the world and had earned a top 50 overall. At that time, Gattyán had amassed at least HUF 300 billion based on income from some 40 entities underneath the Dolcer umbrella.
Gattyán was subject to a massive investigation by the National Tax and Customs Authority (NAV) in September 2012, and his assets were again probed last year, but no fines have been levied as of yet.
Napi.hu also noted that the only woman included among the 100 richest Hungarians list is Erika Kósa, owner of financial consultancy Consequit.
The “100 Richest Hungarians” list will be released by Napi.hu on Thursday, May 8.
