Magyar Telekom was named the "most attractive workplace" in the telecommunications sector, based on independent employer brand research, at the sixth Randstad Award ceremony, according to a press release sent to the Budapest Business Journal.
The Randstad Employer Brand Research was conducted in 32 countries around the world. In Hungary, Randstad questioned some 6,879 employees.
"This feedback fills us with a special joy and pride, as the reviews reflect the opinion of employees from a variety of segments on the domestic labor market," said Zsuzsanna Friedl, Magyar Telekomʼs chief HR officer, on accepting the award. "This justifies that we are on the right path with our employer brand-building strategy, building a valuable, attractive workplace for our current and future colleagues."
The reviews revealed that salary and workplace atmosphere are the two most important aspects when choosing a job, while location and work-life balance are also becoming increasingly important.
Among other things, Magyar Telekom said it supports flexible working conditions for its staff via innovative solutions: thanks to digital devices and teleworking available in certain jobs, employees can schedule their own time, while the new headquarters building of the company is designed to meet the demands of modern working conditions so that working time can be spent effectively and efficiently.
The telecommunications area also performed well in the competition between sectors, as survey participants expressed a preference for employment in the telecom sector, besides the IT and SSC sectors.
