MTel experiences mobile network issues earlier today

Hungary’s Magyar Telekom experienced issues with its mobile network country-wide, as such mobile internet services and in some cases calls were being interrupted or were not functioning properly, according to news reports.

The communication directorate of the Hungarian subsidiary of German telco giant Deutsche Telekom said in a letter sent to online daily origo.hu that “as of the morning hours our subscribers have been experiencing non-region specific issues in our mobile internet service”, adding that the issues might affect calls in some cases. “The issues are being investigated, and we are asking for the patience of our clients until the services are fixed”, Magyar Telekom said in the letter, according to origo.hu.

Magyar Telekom’s services reportedly improved shortly after noon according to news reports and user feedback.
