More Ryanair flights from Budapest, fewer destinations

Tourism

Ireland-based discount airline Ryanair will increase its outbound flights originating in Budapest from 69 to 71 in its winter season schedule. The added flights will serve Barcelona, Dublin and London, Ryanair Sales and Marketing Manager Katarzyna Gaborec announced yesterday.

However, some as-yet unnamed destinations will see the number of flights decrease, and all told, the number of cities that can be reached from Budapest via Ryanair will also decrease, to 12 from 14, Gaborec said.

Ryanair returned to Budapest in 2012 after the bankruptcy and subsequent demise of Hungary’s national airline Malév.

Producing journalism that is worthy of the name is a costly business. For 27 years, the publishers, editors and reporters of the Budapest Business Journal have striven to bring you business news that works, information that you can trust, that is factual, accurate and presented without fear or favor.

We would like to offer that same opportunity to our readers. We would like to invite you to help us deliver the quality business journalism you require. Hit our Support the BBJ button and you can choose the how much and how often you send us your contributions.
