Hungarian oil and gas company MOL has decided to support the Hungarian Football Association (MLSZ) with more than HUF 2 billion, MOL CEO Zsolt Hernádi and MLSZ Chairman Sándor Csányi announced yesterday, according to Hungarian news agency MTI.

MLSZ will receive approximately HUF 2 bln through MOL’s corporate tax, which is to be spent on replacing and developing infrastructure, while a further HUF 285 mln can be used as the association sees fit, the news agency reported.

Hernádi reportedly said yesterday that it is an honor to support Hungarian football and the national team.
