MOL considers joining BP pipeline project
Hungarian oil and gas company MOL is considering the possibility of joining the South-EastEurope Pipeline (SEEP) project planned by British Petroleum (BP), daily Népszabadság said on Monday.
BP press chief Toby Odone told the paper the company was reviewing the possibility of bringing the pipeline through Hungary with MOL's pipeline unit FGSZ.
SEEP would bring gas from the border between Turkey and Bulgaria through Romanian and Hungary. The pipeline is a competitor to the planned Nabucco pipeline, which would bring gas from central Asia to Europe, reducing the region's energy dependence on Russia.
