Metrans Kontener, local council sign HUF 500 mln agreement

German-owned freight company Metrans Kontener signed an agreement with the local governent of Budapestʼs District 21 on approximately HUF 500 million of municipal development, Hungarian news agency MTI reported yesterday.
The money will support transport developments in the district and give the local economy a boost, the parties said.
Metrans Kontener laid the cornerstone of a €35-50 mln container terminal in District 21, also called Csepel, last October. The terminal is expected to be completed by 2017, creating 200 jobs.
Metrans Kontener is owned by HHLA AG.
