Local council expects to make sausage making business profitable

Gyulahús, a company established to take over the assets of troubled sausage maker Gyulai Húskombinát, targets profit of HUF 43 million on revenue of HUF 5.26 billion this year, Gyula (SE Hungary) mayor Erno Görgényi said on Thursday. Speaking after a local council meeting decided to raise Gyulahús's capital by HUF 700 million , Görgényi said the company would employ 282 people at the start. The Gyula municipal council established Gyulahús in January and lent it HUF 200 million to buy raw materials. Contracts on leasing the assets of Gyulai Húskombinát were signed with the company's liquidator on Wednesday. Gyulahús will start production on February 4.
