Linamar Hungary inaugurates HUF 6.9 bln plant
Canadian-owned farm machinery maker and automotive industry supplier Linamar Hungary on Friday inaugurated a HUF 6.9 billion plant at its base in Orosháza (SE Hungary).
Prime Minister Viktor Orbán spoke at the inauguration.
Linamar Hungary won a HUF 1.5 billion grant from the Economic Operative Program for the investment, said vice president of the Linamar group in Europe Csaba Havasi.
Linamar Hungary added 5,000sqm of production hall capacity in the investment, bringing the total area to 16,000sqm. It also renovated the plant's parking lot and an employee building.
Linamar Hungary had revenue of HUF 37.3 billion in 2011. The company spent HUF 6.2 billion on payroll and HUF 16 billion on orders from suppliers during the year.
