The Hungarian subsidiary of the Germany-based international retail chain was recognized by a jury of professional judges for its operations with regard to its natural and social environment, and exemplary approach in responsible operations.

Over 95% of generated trash is recycled by the company, therefore reducing its CO2 emissions, while Lidl has also held charity events and programs for supporting children and families in need.

“The domestic management of Lidl has voluntarily decided about responsible operations, which are integrated into the business strategy,” said Judit Tőzsér, Lidl Hungary’s communications chief. “We are happy and proud that our activities have been recognized by this award,” she added.
