Lafarge Cement opens waste storage warehouse
Lafarge Cement Magyarország opened a warehouse for waste that will be incinerated at its plant in Királyegyháza in southwestern Hungary. An investment of HUF 700 mln was injected into the structure, which will be used to store plastic, rubber and industrial and farm byproducts.
The waste will be disposed of in an incinerator and the heat generated from the process will be used to create energy for production. Lafarge Cement Magyarország employs 130 people, and reported revenues of HUF 8.3 bln last year.
