join.me raises LogMeIn revenue by 31%

Analysis

Hungarian startup LogMeIn saw its revenue jump by 31% in the first quarter of this year thanks to its join.me service, which enables users to hold video conferences for free, the firm said in a press release.

User numbers of join.me surpassed 500,000. The service is free to use and requires no downloads, as such video conferences can be launched in seconds, the firm noted. The online service is compatible with PCs and as well as iOs and Android smartphones.

“With the current innovations we are getting close to competitors like Skype for Business, GoToMeeting and Cisco WebEx. Our users, apparently, choose our service for its easy use, as it is an anonymous system, where you need no identification, you just need to click the invitation link. This simplicity is what gives us great growth potential on the market,” Attila Túróczy, director of engineering at LogMeIn said.
