Wizz Air signs Balkan flight concessions

Hungarian low-fare airline Wizz Air on Thursday signed an agreement with the National Development Ministry on concessions to operate flights between Budapest and five destinations in the Balkans from April, CEO József Váradi said.

Wizz Air will operate the flights to Podgorica, Pristina, Skopje, Tirana and Sarajevo twice a week, on Wednesdays and Sundays, Váradi said. Load factor on the flights is expected to be over 50pc, he added.

Wizz Air was the only bidder in the tender for the four-year concessions. It will be compensated for any losses its makes operating the flights
