Wizz Air’s passenger numbers up 20%

Passenger numbers of Hungarian low-cost airline Wizz Air grew by a year-on-year 20% in May, reaching 1,612,955, while capacity was up 18%, reaching 1,811,340, the company said today in a press release.
The company expanded its fleet with two Airbus A320 aircraft in May and is planning to open its 22nd base in Debrecen in December. Wizz Air expects to add five new routes to its schedule.
