Wizz Air planning expansion in Saudi Arabia

DIscount airline Wizz Air has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Investment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, supported by the Saudi National Air Connectivity Program. The agreement aims to explore market development opportunities in the country's aviation industry, according to a press release sent to the Budapest Business Journal.

With its Vision 2030 strategic program, Saudi Arabia aims to triple its passenger traffic by the end of the decade. 

The MoU reflects the potential of the cooperation with Wizz Air and the potential growth in demand that could contribute significantly to the economic prosperity of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the press release says.

Following the agreement, the parties will work on potential investment and operational models that will promote air transport in Saudi Arabia, boosting the country's tourism and also increasing its connectivity.
