Volánbusz calls tenders for buses

State-owned bus company Volánbusz on Monday announced tenders for the delivery of 243 vehicles in 2021 and 2022, according to a report by state news wire MTI.
Volánbusz called tenders for the delivery of 45 buses with capacity for 56 passengers for delivery in Q2 and Q3 2022. The buses must have air-conditioning and USB chargers. Another tender, for eight buses with capacity for 56 passengers, is for delivery by the end of 2021.
The company called tenders for 140 buses with capacity for 75 passengers and 50 buses with capacity for 95 passengers for delivery in mid-2022.
Last year, Volánbusz took delivery of 610 new buses, and it is getting 123 by the end of 2021. In 2022, the company expects to add 800 new vehicles to its fleet. By the end of 2022, Volánbusz will have replaced 40% of its buses under a fleet renewal program launched in 2018.
