Some Budapest flights canceled due to Lufthansa strike
Four flights scheduled for today on German airline Lufthansa between Budapest and Frankfurt have been cancelled, in addition to several of the airline’s Munich flights, due to a strike by Lufthansa employees, according to information posted on the official website of Liszt Ferenc International Airport operator Budapest Airport.
Out of the five scheduled Lufthansa flights departing from Budapest to Munich today, only two are expected to leave, one this morning and the other at 8.15 pm this evening, according to information on the airport website.
As Budapest Dusseldorf flights are operated by sister carrier Eurowings, these flights have not been affected by the strike. Other subsidiaries of Lufthansa – Swiss International Air Lines AG, Austrian Airlines, Germanwings, Brussels Airlines and Air Dolomiti – are also not affected, the website adds.
