Ryanair to launch Frankfurt-Balaton flight

Low-cost airlines Ryanair will start operating a regular flight between Frankfurt and the FlyBalaton airport near Lake Balaton on October 31, the company announced on Thursday.
The flight will be operated three times a week taking off from Frankfurt at 07 a.m. local time and departing from FlyBalaton at 9 a.m.
Ryanair's highly successful scheduled London-Budapest flight has been operating since May this year and transported its 10,000th passenger on Thursday, the company said. Europe's largest budget airline Ryanair expects to transport some 40,000 passengers on its London and Frankfurt flights to Balaton next year.
FlyBalaton airport opened a new passenger terminal in May this year. The Ft 2 billion terminal in Sármellék, near the Balaton, has capacity to handle 300,000 passengers a year.
