More than 980 new county and country passes have been sold since the start of sales within the MÁV app on Monday, the communications directorate of Hungarian State Railways (MÁV Zrt.) told Világgazdaság.
By Tuesday afternoon, this had increased to 1,400, according to the Facebook page of Minister of Construction and Investment János Lázár.
For comparison, the application has an average of around 1,000 (1,300 at the peak of season ticket purchase) pass purchase transactions per day.
Compared to this, sales of the super-cheap county and country passes are not bad at all, although it cannot be said that the traveling public will take to the new products, the business daily added.
