GYSEV passenger numbers climb almost 6% in Jan-Aug

Regional railway GYSEV, owned by the states of Hungary and Austria, carried 2,189,000 passengers in January-August, up 5.9% from the same period a year earlier, the company said on Tuesday.

Passenger-kilometers were up by more than 5,200,000 during the period. The average distance travelled was 44km, about the same as a year earlier.
