Gebrüder Weiss Hungary turnover climbs 20% in 2021

Revenue of the local unit of Austrian logistics company Gebrüder Weiss rose 20% to HUF 28.7 billion last year, the company told state news wire MTI.

The unit delivered 1.6 million packages last year. Home delivery volume climbed 33%.

Gebrüder Weiss spent "several hundred million forints" to set up four more package depots in Hungary in 2021. It now operates bases in Dunaharaszti, Győr, Zalaegerszeg, Pécs, Polgár and Szeged.

The unit employs 428 people.
