Transport

German long-distance bus transport company FlixBus is increasing its transport capacity in preparation for the summer holiday season. The main expansion targets are Vienna and Zagreb.

Budapest-Vienna is currently among the European Flixbus connections with the highest traffic, based on passenger numbers, László Arany, regional director said. Therefore the company is planning to expand this connection, from 15 buses to 20 beginning from April 26, Arany said, according to a press release sent to Budapest Business Journal.

Beginning in mid-June, passengers between the two capital cities will be able to choose between 28 daily departures. Some of the routes will stop at the Schwechat airport terminals. As for other destinations, Flixbus is increasing the number of departures to Zagreb to six per day, and more buses will depart also to Ljubljana, Graz and Krakow.
