Applications for a second round of the Ministry for Innovation and Technology's call for proposals to support the purchase of electric-assisted bicycles are open from today, according to novekedes.hu.

The winners of the first stage will receive a total of nearly HUF 110 million to purchase more than 1,000 bicycles. The application must be accompanied by proof of employment or income. Up to half of the sale price of the vehicle can be covered by the support, meaning up to HUF 90,000 for bicycles with pedal sensors and HUF 150,000 for bicycles with torque sensors.

In the second round, eligibility of the application will be decided within 20 working days, and then within another 10 working days the support document necessary for purchasing will be issued to the approved applicants via the online portal.
