Wolt Market Opening New Store in Debrecen

Wolt Market, Wolt's own online grocery store chain, is opening its eighth Hungarian store in Debrecen, according to a press release sent to the Budapest Business Journal.

Debrecen is the third major Hungarian city after Budapest and Pécs to offer Wolt Market products. The popularity of Wolt Market is demonstrated by the fact that since its launch in November last year, the eighth store has opened in the country and the number of orders is steadily increasing, the company notes.

"Wolt's restaurant delivery service was launched in Debrecen three years ago and has quickly become popular, so we hope that customers will discover and like the Wolt Market offer. Our aim is to offer a quality selection at affordable prices, and thanks to fast delivery, help our customers avoid the inconvenience of shopping, queuing, and crowds. This is especially useful during the festive season when people have the least time to shop, or when they realize they are missing an ingredient while cooking," says Gábor Törös, managing director of Wolt Market.

In Wolt Market's online store, shoppers can buy the food they need for everyday shopping, including fresh fruit, vegetables, meat, and bakery products, as well as household items and perfumes. Orders can be placed in the Wolt app and delivered to the customer's door within half an hour by Wolt's courier partner, as customers have come to expect from restaurant and retail orders. Customers can track their orders at any time and Wolt's customer service team will respond within one minute on average if they have any questions about their order, according to the press release.

Wolt Market to Remain Open During Christmas

Wolt Market will also help Debrecen residents with their Christmas shopping, as the store will have special festive offers, seasonal promotions, and a range of gift ideas, including children's books. Wolt Market will also be open during the Christmas holidays, as is the Wolt service, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on December 24 and from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on December 25-26. On New Year's Eve, deliveries will be available from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., and on January 1 from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Wolt Market has recently reduced the prices of nearly 100 products, including staples and fragrances, by 15%. There are also ongoing promotions and discount offers. In a special section, shoppers can also buy products with an approaching expiry date at special prices, which Wolt Market is also using to combat food waste.
