Watchdog Levies Maximum Fine on Slovakian Elf Bar Seller

Hungary's Competition Office (GVH) on Thursday said it fined Yzer, a Slovakian business, HUF 68 million - the maximum allowed by law - for illegally advertising the sale of Elf Bar vaping products to consumers in Hungary, according to a report by news agency MTI.
GVH launched a probe of two Slovakian companies in the summer and found Yzer wrongly suggested to consumers that sales of the vaping products at its Hungarian-language webshop were legal.
The competition office noted that remote sales of vaping products are illegal in Hungary.
GVH said Elf Bar vaping products are "especially harmful" because of their popularity with young people.
