Toy seller Regio Játék's sales climb over HUF 16 bln in 2021

Sales of Hungarian toy seller Regio Játék rose 14% to more than HUF 16 billion last year, the company said on Thursday, according to a report by state news wire MTI.

Regio Játék sold around 7 million toys last year. Bestsellers were board games, LEGO sets, and creative games.

Customers in Regio Játék's brick-and-mortar shops spent about HUF 7,910 per visit, on average, up 4.4% from 2020. The average online purchase climbed 20% to HUF 12,000.

Regio Játék has 43 stores and a staff of over 500. It controls close to one-quarter of Hungary's toy market.
