Tesco to extend opening hours in Hungary

Approximately 33 units of Tesco in Hungary will extend their opening hours from the current 6:00 AM to 5:00 AM, as of July 1, Hungarian online daily origo.hu reported today.
The press department of Tesco reportedly said they chose to extend their opening hours following a number of customer requests to do so. Tesco said these stores are close to blocks of flats and in generally heavily populated areas.
Since the Sunday closure law came into effect in mid March, retailers in Hungary have been taking steps to overcome the restrictions to open on Sundays.
