Sr Patata to come to Hungary

Retail

A businessman in Debrecen has purchased the master franchise rights for Spanish fast-food chain Sr Patata, allowing him to organize future partners for the company, business daily Világgazdaság reported on Friday.

The cost of opening a Sr Patata restaurant is approximately €45,000 (Ft 11.7 million), a figure that does not include the franchise entry fee. The company plans to open its first restaurant in Hungary at a shopping mall in four months.
Sr Patata, which specializes in potato-based dishes, is planning to open at least eight more restaurants in Hungary over the next 10 years, and would to expand throughout the entire Central and Eastern European region as well. Sr Patata opened its first restaurant in Romania two years ago, and plans to soon expand into Slovakia and Croatia.
