Sconto Bútor to open new Ft 1.4 bln store in Miskolc

Sconto Bútor Kft, a leading furniture store in Hungary, will open its newest store in Miskolc this year November, which will be the biggest furniture store in the region, and Sconto’s first store in the countryside of Hungary. Constructions started on May 15, 2006. They built a 5000 square meter store on 7000 square meters of a 13,000 square meter property. Sconto CEO András Turi and Sándor Káli Mayor of Miskolc were talking about the new development together at a press release.
The new store will provide a lot of work for the region. The city spent Ft 10 million to provide education for the new workers, giving some of them new profession. Some of Scontos’ new workers received their new certificates from the Mayor at the event of the press release. Since the store is located close to the M3 motorway, the Mayor expects further dynamic expansion and development not only in the city but also in the region. (miskolc.hu)
