Romanian Retail Sales Slow in November
Retail sales in Romania increased by 3% year-on-year in November, easing from a downwardly revised 4.1% growth in the prior month, figures from the Bucharest-based National Institute of Statistics (INS) showed on Friday.
Sales rose at softer rates for automotive fuel (5% vs 14.4% in October) and food, beverages, and tobacco (0.5% vs 2.4%).
On the other hand, retail trade grew faster for non-food products (7.8% vs 3.1%). On a monthly basis, retail sales fell by 0.1% in November, reversing a 0.5% gain in October.
