OBI to make major changes in Hungary
German-owned D.I.Y. chain OBI is planning layoffs and restructuring in Hungary and would stop buying from Hungarian business partners, as it did with local suppliers in the Czech Republic, Hungarian business daily Világgazdaság reported today.
The paper said that OBI Hungary Retail failed to comment on the matter of the suppliers, but confirmed that a restructuring is underway. OBI stores in Hungary are expected to keep operating, the unit added.
