Hungarian webshops saw their foreign PayPal turnover rose by 21% year-on-year in H1 this year, online banking service provider PayPal told Hungarian news agency MTI yesterday.

Foreign shoppers were particularly fond of computer games, entertainment electronics, car parts, fashion items and travel services.

Most of the customers of Hungarian online shops are from Europe, the company pinpointed. Some 17% of the payments came from the United Kingdom and 11% from Germany. The North American market accounts for 34% of the sales.
