Montenegro retail sales fall in December

Montenegro's retail sales fell by a real 8.8% year-on-year in December, after decreasing by 11.9% a month earlier, official figures showed on Tuesday.

On a monthly comparison basis, retail trade turnover went up by a real 18.4% in December, after declining by 7.3% in November, the Podgorica-based Statistical Office (Monstat) said in a statement.

Calculated in current prices, retail sales went down by 9.6% on the year in December after falling by 12.9% in November.
