MKB Bank signs voucher card partnerships with 400 businesses

Some 400 business have agreed to accept MKB Bank's Széchenyi Recreation Card (SZEP), a voucher that can be topped up and used at hotels, restaurants and theatres, chairman-CEO Tamás Erdei said at a press conference marking the issue of the first MKB SZEP Card on Tuesday.

Hungary's government launched the SZEP Card system in the summer.

Many Hungarians receive vouchers for things such as food, travel and entertainment, as non-wage compensation from their employers. Employers pay a preferential payroll tax on the vouchers.
