Lithuania Retail Sales Fall in February

Retail sales in Lithuania dropped by 1.8% year-on-year in February, reversing a 3.1% rise in the previous month, figures from the Vilnius-based Statistics Lithuania (LS) showed on Tuesday.
Sales fell for both food, beverages & tobacco (-7.6% vs -5.9% in January), and non-food products (-0.8% vs 3.1%) amid a softer rise in automotive fuel in specialized stores (5.9% vs 18.4%).
On a monthly comparison basis, retail trades shrank by 6.9%, the second consecutive decline, following a 16.4% plunge in January.
