Hungary's Szallas.hu, an online service for booking commercial accommodations, is number one on this year's Deloitte Technology Fast 50 in Central Europe list, the consultancy said yesterday. Deloitte compiles the list to draw attention to fast-growing companies in the region.

Szallas.hu managing director József Dorcsinecz said in the Technology Fast 50 report that the company focused on "happiness, engagement and people [...] We want to provide the easiest way to book a holiday and to make customers feel satisfied when they arrive to the best room. We are continuously working on building up an engaging brand; we are hiring and developing the best team of professionals at their own fields of expertise." A total of ten Hungarian companies were on the list, including presentation software company Prezi.com in eighth place.
